Medicated Sunblock in Pakistan
Buying medicated sunblock here involves a problem that does not exist in most markets: you cannot always be confident the tube contains what the label says. Sunscreen is high volume, easy to imitate and impossible to verify by eye, which makes provenance a real part of the buying decision rather than a technicality.
How it reaches the market
Official distribution. Brands with a local distributor, sold through pharmacies and established retailers. Priced highest, most reliable.
Parallel imports. Genuine product brought in outside official channels. Usually authentic, occasionally stored badly in transit, and heat degrades sunscreen faster than most products.
Local manufacture under licence. Formulated and produced here. Often the best value, and the supply chain is short enough to be traceable.
Everything else. Unverified sellers offering imported SPF 50 well below the market band. This is where the risk sits.
Checking that what you buy is genuine
Look for a batch number and a manufacture or expiry date printed rather than stickered. Check that the packaging text is properly printed and not blurred. Be wary of prices significantly below the usual band for that brand, and of sellers with no return path.
The reason this matters more with sunscreen than with other skincare is that a counterfeit fails silently. There is no rash and no obvious sign at the time, only burning and pigmentation weeks later that nobody connects back to the tube.

Sunscreen degrades in heat. A tube that has spent a summer in a car glovebox or on a sunlit shop shelf is not delivering what it claims.
Keep it out of direct sun, never in a parked car, and replace it if the texture separates or the smell changes. Buy from sellers who move stock quickly rather than ones with dusty shelves.
Price and channel
