Concealer is the product people buy when they have given up on foundation covering everything, and it is usually the right call. Foundation evens the whole face. Concealer fixes the three or four specific things you actually notice in the mirror. Doing the second well means you need less of the first.

Two Shades, Not One
This is the single most useful thing to know about concealer.
For under-eye brightening, go one to two steps lighter than your foundation, with a warm or peach undertone. Dark circles on most Pakistani skin tones are blue-purple, and a neutral concealer laid over blue produces grey. Peach cancels blue; that is colour theory doing the work, not the product.
For blemishes and around the nose, match your foundation exactly. A lighter shade on a spot draws the eye to it, which is the opposite of the point.

Placement and Setting

Correcting Versus Concealing
If your under-eye pigmentation is deep enough that a light concealer over it still reads grey, you need a colour corrector underneath, not a heavier concealer. A thin layer of peach or orange, then your normal concealer over it, and far less product overall.
